Jonathan Veale, LL.B.
Jon founded Vision Legal in 2010. As a former practicing lawyer dedicated to legal recruitment, he brings valuable insights to the search process. Jon is routinely called upon to comment on legal staffing and recruitment trends in the Toronto and Canadian market.
Jon has over 20 years of specialized legal recruitment experience and has earned a reputation for outstanding service and professionalism. He employs a consultative process for every search. He invests a significant amount of time with clients to fully understand their organizations' unique culture and talent acquisition goals. Jon's professional and courteous approach is reflected in its success.
Jon has successfully placed lawyers of all levels at both major law firms and private/public corporations. From a private practice perspective, he is sought out to assist with strategic associate and partner lateral initiatives. From an in-house perspective, he has personally placed hundreds of legal professionals into a variety of positions, including General Counsel, Associate General Counsel, Legal Counsel, Chief Compliance Officer, Litigation Management, Corporate Secretary, and Contract Administrator.
Prior to recruiting, Jon practiced corporate law at one of Canada's top national law firms. He obtained his LL.B. from Queen's University and his B.A. from McGill University.
Natalie Wilson
Natalie has over 7 years of specialized legal recruitment experience working with Vision Legal. In addition to providing legal counsel and associate level recruitment support, Natalie leads our legal support recruitment division, which covers the placement of law clerks and other legal professionals with law firms and corporations.
Prior to joining Vision Legal, Natalie spent over 7 years as a law clerk at both a boutique litigation firm and in-house with a multinational company. Natalie's diverse background spans various legal disciplines, including tax disputes and commercial law matters. Her varied experience in the legal industry helps her understand clients' staffing requirements and identify with candidates.
Natalie obtained her Bachelor of Applied Arts Degree (Hons.) with a major in Paralegal Studies from Humber College.
Gina Rogakos, LL.B.
Gina brings over 20 years of deep and diverse legal industry experience to Vision Legal. Gina commenced her career as a commercial litigator at a large national law firm, ultimately becoming a partner of the firm. Throughout this time, she was committed to building and developing talent within the firm. Recognizing the passion she had for this work, Gina pivoted her career to focus exclusively on lawyer talent management. She led the Toronto associate programs at two national firms, having worked on the recruitment, retention, development, and advancement of hundreds of lawyers. Gina also spent several years working at a global executive search firm, where she worked with clients across North America to fill their most complex, senior legal, regulatory, and compliance roles.
Throughout Gina's career, she has worked closely with senior leaders to align talent strategy with strategic business priorities, resulting in a deep and unique understanding of clients' needs and business goals. Her years managing, mentoring and coaching legal professionals well positions her to identify candidates' strengths and potential. Across all mandates, Gina takes a holistic approach to her work and is known for her dedication to people, client service, and commitment to advancing diversity and inclusion within the legal profession.
Gina obtained her LL.B. from Osgoode Hall Law School and her Bachelor of Arts from York University. She obtained a certificate in Diversity and Inclusion from Cornell University and is currently pursuing executive coaching certification.
